A faculty member in the department obtains a doctoral degree

     

 

 

Dr. Hooraa Qasim Hamid has obtained her doctoral degree with distinction from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering for her thesis titled “Experimental and Theoretical Investigation of Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Electric Vehicle Charging Control.” The thesis aimed to reduce environmental pollution and fuel consumption by promoting sustainable electric vehicles. It included the design of a novel technique for charging electric cars using wireless inductive charging with interleaved core coils, achieving a charging time of 26 minutes through the utilization of artificial intelligence methods. Consequently, this approach extends the lifespan of electric charging batteries.
