  About the Branch:

In 2006, the branch became independent. It was formerly called electronic and communication engineering branch in the eighties of the last century. Due top the difficult situations of Iraq after 2003, the branch of electronic engineering was joined with the branch of communication engineering for the period of 2003-2006 after which it regained its dependence once more in 2006.The study at the electronic engineering branch aims at graduating B.Sc. specialized engineers in the field of study and design in electronic engineering besides preparing specialized scientific teaching staff holding both the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees who are qualified to work in the fields of electronic engineering to meet the need of the country offices and establishments and the private sector as well as the universities.
