  About the Branch:

The branch of electrical engineering was simultaneously established with the Electrical Engineering Department in 1960 where it was under different names. Its curriculum included machine engineering, electrical power, electronics and communication. The branch aims at providing the country with qualified engineering personnel in electrical engineering. To achieve this objective, the branch was careful to go along with the rapid scientific developments in the world through developing its scientific curricula continuously as well as modernizing its scientific labs. To mark distinction in academic research, postgraduate studies gained great attention leading to the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. In addition, the branch also has its contributions with the society and the different governmental establishments through the engineering and scientific consultation bureau to offer its services.
