PhD Student Debate

The doctoral student (Ali Jalil Taher) on Thursday 31/1/2019 at Dijla Hall in the department and at 9:00 am defended his thesis entitled:

(Enhancing the Performance of Low Density Information System Based on Compressed Sensing)

The discussion committee consisted of:

1. Prof. Dr. Jawad Kazem Ali as chairman
2. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hadi Tarish Ziboon as member
3. Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Saffah Hassoun as member
4 Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Mohammed Saleh as member
5. Assist. Prof. Dr. Samir Abdulkhalek Aziz as member
6. Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdulsaheb Hashem as member and supervisor
7. Assist. Prof. Dr. Thamer Rasheed Saeed as member and supervisor

The aim of the research is to perform modeling process that is equal to twice the maximum frequency of the signal. However, some applications require less specific modeling than that of Nyquist rate. For this reason, compression sensing deals with signal modeling less than Nyquist rate. In this work, a modified compressed sensitivity algorithm was introduced. The modified compressed sensitivity algorithm has been tested for performance using MATLAB R2015a software with real signal data.
At the end of the discussion, the thesis was accepted and the student was awarded a Ph.D degree.
