Master Thesis Debate
On Monday, 14/1/2019, and at Al-Furat Hall in the department at 9:00 am, the student (Qusay Shabib Kazim) defended his Master's thesis:
(Design of DC Motor Controller System without Brushes with Four-Key and Three-phase)
The debate committee consisted of: Prof. Dr. Adel Ahmed Obeid, chairman, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Muntader Sami Shaker, member, Dr. Fadhel Abbas Hassan, member and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mounes Ezz El Din Ali, supervisors and member.
This thesis introduces a new control strategy for the DC motor system without brushes and with four-key reflector based on a slider-type speed control and a direct-current hysteresis that uses two current sensors. During this research, the speed control was developed by adding a torque-type estimator. Considering the current controller, the research introduced a new method in which the hysteric control is based on a single current sensor.
At the end of the debate, the thesis was accepted with minor modifications and the student received a M.Sc. degree.
